Some men’s rings have a far more complex design than others. This is part of the reason why they are so attractive. After all, a ring does not need to be simple or plain in design. It can equally be complex and 3D in appearance, making it more fascinating to look at.
This is fine when the ring is new of course, but what happens when you have had the ring for a while and you notice it has started to become a little dirty? We all use our hands a lot and if you wear the same rings all the time it is obvious they will need a clean every now and then.
The way you clean them will depend on what kind of metal they are made from. For instance silver dress rings tend to tarnish over time, but they can be brought back to look like new very easily by using a silver cleaner.
The problem comes when you have a complex 3D design to clean. You will find it very difficult to get into all the crevices of the design in this situation. Even rubbing the ring with a soft cloth won’t shift all the tarnished areas.
The solution often lies in using a soft bristled toothbrush. Since these are very cheap to buy you can get one brand new to use for this specific purpose. This will enable you to clean the ring very easily indeed. Just apply some of the silver cleaner to your silver ring, rub it in with a cloth and then use the toothbrush to clean those areas you wouldn’t be able to clean otherwise.
You will soon find this makes it very easy to clean what would otherwise be an awkward ring. Even simpler designs such as those which are smooth but have a beveled edge will benefit from this method of cleaning. This is because the bristles can get into all those hard to reach areas that would otherwise remain dirty.
Depending on what you do and how often you wear your rings you might find you need to clean them quite regularly. But if you have men’s rings made from other precious metals, you can try the same method with the appropriate cleaner. You might be surprised at just how efficient and easy it is, not to mention how good the finished result is.
